Prior to his appointment as Principal Secretary, Ministry of Communications, Science &
Technology, Mr. Lira Moeti served for a short period as the Principal Secretary- Cabinet
(Admin). Prior to that he was Director General – ICT in the Ministry of Communications,
Science & Technology in charge of overall ICT Policy, Strategy & Digital Transformation
within GOL. Mr. Moeti holds B.Sc (Computer Science), B.Sc Hons (Computer Science)
and MSc. Upon completion of BSc, Mr. Moeti joined the National University of Lesotho
(NUL) ICT Department as ICT Support Manager. Mr. Moeti is a member of the Water &
Sewerage Authority Board of Directors as an independent non-executive director. He
also serves as a Member of its Risk & Audit Committee. He also serves as a
chairperson of the Universal Service fund and the Chairperson of the newly established
Lesotho Science Commission.
